Each curve shows what fraction of full-time employees at that campus earn at or below a given salary. A curve shifted to the right indicates higher salaries overall; a steeper curve indicates salaries more tightly clustered around the median. All salaries are divided by a campus-specific cost-of-living index so they reflect purchasing power rather than nominal pay. Hover anywhere on the chart to read off each campus's percentile at that salary level. Data source: CU Salary Database.

Note on excluded data: The X axis is capped at the 99.5th percentile across all campuses to keep the distribution visible; the top 0.5% of earners (salaries above roughly $500,000 COL-adjusted) are not shown but are included in the percentile calculations. Part-time employees (less than 100% FTE) and malformed rows (column-shifted due to unquoted commas in department names) are excluded entirely.
